ABOUT ME? A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS

There is a year written on the back of this old black and white photo. 1952. I got it from my cousin. That adult in the picture is my dads sister, who is my cousins mother with me and my two brothers. But I think I will let my visitors ponder that for the moment.

This is who I grew into. My name really is Tom. I am 76 years young. I have been retired since 2010. I received a BSW from CSUS in 1995. My retirement was 2010. has been a difficult time when many of my loved ones have died. Emotionally speaking, I have not done well with the past 10 years. But I have gotten a lot of support from an extraordinary new marriage and I am feeling like it is time to write the story down while I still can. I have always wanted to write and here it comes. This is me writing for me, and it may not be good for you. I get it and I hope you have a great day. I do not have anything to sell at this time, save for good will among all of the men, women, and alternative pronouns on the planet.
Spiritdiverse, (that word) is something that actually came from a word generator many years ago. It was around the time that President Obama was re elected. You put in a bunch of descriptors for a website and it spits out a name. That was early AI. I was trying to come up with a word to describe the idea that most people have spiritual beliefs of some kind. I saw that as a commonality among otherwise diverse groups. I have believed for many years that political solutions must come thru solidarity of intent. If we intend to be civilized (internationally) and we want a dialogue, that includes all of the citizens on the planet; we have to begin to consider the realization of such talks. We should also consider that there may be a certain ‘offworld’ element to this new world order.
